Biography:

Julien-G was the typical boy living in his bubble as young kid, his dream career at the time would have been tennis champion, mineralogist or inventor…

Early on, comics took a large place in his visual education, he won a National comics contest, organized in partnership with the famous Angoulême Comics Festival. This strengthened his vocation. After a curriculum in Applied Arts in highschool, that broadened his skills and fuelled his curiosity towards many creative careers, he took a strong step towards Visual Arts and entered Art School of Nantes. The teachings of this school was concept oriented (the old motto of the death of painting…) and it was a tough call to be an aspiring painter in such an environment. But it was also very formative, an artist needs to fight his way through fashions to stand as a creator.

With a MFA in hand, and the need to make a living, Julien-G, became an art teacher in middle and high school. And, as many other artists before him, he kept on drawing his own path as an artist, with the deep conviction that stories had to be told…

Julien-G, is now living in Paris, France, his work is present in various private collections, in the U.S.A and in Taïwan
